The National Association of Letter Carriers will hold their 16th annual food drive. Customers are asked to leave non-breakable, non-perishable food items by mail boxes or to bring items into their local post office. You can also volunteer to help on the day of the food drive to help unload letter carriers trucks by contacting either your local post office or local food bank. All food donated benefits local food banks. Please help “Stamp Out Hunger”

The Ojai Community Hospital Foundation Guild’s 6th Annual Wild West Night will be at “The Barn” at St. Joseph’s Retreat on Highway 150. Enjoy Tex-Mex eats, dancing to live country western music and $100 in “funny money” to try their luck at blackjack, roulette and craps all for the low price of $65 per person. Strawberry Festival


For the “berry best” weekend celebration, head to the 25th Anniversary CALIFORNIA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL at Strawberry Meadows of College Park (3250 S. The Ventura Area Squad Club
announces its third annual charity golf tournament happening on Monday, August 4, 2008, at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo. Proceeds from our tournament will benefit the CAHP Widow's and Orphan's Fund and Anacapa Middle School in Ventura. The cost of playing in the tournament is $150 dollars and will include a round of golf with cart and range facilities, a tri-tip/chicken buffet awards luncheon, and entrance into the Jet Blue Challenge for a chance to win $50,000 in cash. Also included is a chance to win a hole-in-one prize of a two year lease on a new 2008 BMW, donated by Steve Thomas BMW.

We will also be holding a raffle, emceed by 95.1's own Bo Jackson,
with a chance to win a five day cruise to either the Bahamas or
