(LOS ANGELES) -- An elementary school student was arrested Thursday evening after bringing drugs to his school.
The 12-year-old student allegedly brought a marijuana brownie to Pomona Elementary School and shared it with his fellow students on Tuesday. According to the Los Angeles Times, seven students got sick and were hospitalized after eating the brownie.
When the student was questioned by administrators on Thursday, they found a small bag of marijuana in his backpack. The administrators notified Costa Mesa detectives, the Times says.
The boy was arrested at his home on Thursday for possession of marijuana on campus. He was released to his parents.
